Angela Anaconda began as two shorts on Nickelodeon's KaBlam! in December of 1996 before launching as its own solo series on Fox Family and Canada's Teletoon from 1999 to 2001, using a distinctive cutout animation style that pasted real black and white photographs of faces onto animated bodies. Its unusual visual technique and Angela's constant revenge fantasies against her classmates made it instantly recognizable. Later reruns on Nickelodeon are the main reason many people misremember it as an original Nickelodeon production rather than the Fox Family and Teletoon series it actually was.
