Bear in the Big Blue House

Bear in the Big Blue House aired on Disney Playhouse from 1997 to 2006, a Jim Henson Company puppet series following a gentle, oversized bear named Bear who welcomed a rotating cast of puppet friends, including Tutter, Pip, Pop, and Treelo, into his home. Its long nine year run made it one of the defining shows of Playhouse Disney's early history, and its warm, patient tone owed a clear debt to Henson's earlier work on Sesame Street.
