Face aired on Nick Jr. from 1988 to 1993, an interstitial program built around a giant, expressive animated face that guided very young viewers through simple games, songs, and counting exercises between other shows. It functioned more as connective programming than a standalone series, which is part of why it's so rarely remembered compared to Nick Jr.'s actual scripted shows from the same period. It disappeared as the network shifted toward longer form original programming in the mid nineties.
