Higglytown Heroes

Higglytown Heroes aired on Disney Playhouse from 2004 to 2008, an animated series that reframed everyday community workers, mail carriers, firefighters, shopkeepers, as quiet "heroes" within the small town of Higglytown. Its distinctive character designs, based on simple wooden peg doll shapes, made it visually distinct from most other Playhouse Disney shows airing at the time. It ran for four seasons before wrapping in the late 2000s.
