Ice Cream Cones Cereal

General Mills released Ice Cream Cones Cereal in 1987, shaping half the pieces like tiny waffle cones and the other half like scoops of vanilla or chocolate chip ice cream, fronted by a mascot named Ice Cream Jones. The idea was that kids could combine the pieces in their bowl to build a miniature cereal version of an ice cream cone. It didn't last long on shelves amid growing concern over sugary cereal marketing, though General Mills briefly revived a flatter, triangle shaped version in 2003 for the ice cream cone's hundredth anniversary.
