Jem and the Holograms aired in syndication from 1985 to 1988, following record executive Jerrica Benton who uses secret holographic technology to transform into glamorous rock star Jem, fronting a band while balancing a double life. Its vivid, music driven storytelling and elaborate character designs made it a defining piece of eighties animation. The show ran for three seasons and later inspired a 2015 live action film adaptation.
