Life Savers Holes

Life Savers released Holes in 1990, taking the small circular "centers" cut from the middle of its classic ring shaped candy and selling them on their own in flip top plastic tubes. The concept was a clever way to repurpose a byproduct of the manufacturing process into a standalone product. It was pulled from shelves within about a year, reportedly over concerns about the plastic tube's cap posing a choking risk.
