Ned's Newt

Ned's Newt aired its first season on Fox Kids in the U.S. in 1997, though the full run continued on Canada's Teletoon through 2000, following a boy named Ned Flemkin whose pet newt Newton balloons into a giant, shapeshifting creature whenever he's fed a special food called Zippo. American audiences only ever saw a fraction of the full thirty nine episode run, which has left most U.S. viewers with only a partial memory of the show compared to Canadian fans who saw it through to the end.
