Orbitz was a fruit flavored soft drink that Clearly Canadian released in 1996, and its main selling point was the little floating gel balls suspended throughout the bottle. Kids and teens bought it as much for the visual novelty as the taste, since shaking the bottle sent the spheres swirling like a drinkable lava lamp. It disappeared from shelves by 1997 after failing to build a repeat customer base, and unopened bottles now sell for hundreds of dollars among collectors.
