Taina

Taina ran on Nickelodeon from 2001 to 2002, following a Latina teenager named Taina Morales chasing her performing arts ambitions at a fictional school modeled on Manhattan's real life High School for the Performing Arts. It stood out at the time for centering a Latina lead in a genre where that representation was still fairly rare. The show wrapped after a single season, and it's remembered fondly mostly by viewers who caught it during its original run.
