The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo

The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo aired on Nickelodeon from 1996 to 1999, following a young detective named Shelby Woo, played by Irene Ng, as she lives with and learns from her innkeeper grandfather, played by Karate Kid star Pat Morita. The show combined genuine mystery solving plots with a warm intergenerational family dynamic that set it apart from Nickelodeon's more comedy focused offerings. It ran for four seasons, partly filmed at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando before production shifted to Montreal.
