Coca-Cola introduced Vault in 2005, a bright green, heavily caffeinated citrus soda marketed under the line "drinks like a soda, kicks like an energy drink" to compete directly with Mountain Dew. It expanded into several variants over its run, including a grape flavor and a zero sugar version. Coca-Cola discontinued it in 2011 when the company decided to relaunch its older Mello Yello brand instead of continuing to invest in Vault.
