Voltron: Defender of the Universe

Voltron: Defender of the Universe originally aired from 1984 to 1985, but it found a whole new audience through Toonami reruns on Cartoon Network from 1997 to 1999, following five pilots who combine their individual lion shaped robots into the massive Voltron to defend the universe. Its Toonami rerun run introduced the show to an entirely different generation of kids than the one who watched it during its original mid eighties broadcast.
